August sees us play at Bloom festival www.bloomfestival.com in the same tent as clive henry, jamie jones, 20:20 soundsystem & more, we also return to Barcelona to play at the amazing outdoor La Terrrazza club in the Monjuic hills, this is a special Day time sunday bank holiday party, full line tbc confirmed but we may be playing with Secret sundaze

Jet Project – Aug Blog (July Recap)

Well what a month July turned out to be, they really don’t come much better in the JP world. Firstly and most importantly our “ Heads In The Clouds” debut album dropped on the 7th and we were overjoyed to receive the album of the month accolade in IDj mag. The review was amazing and we were so happy to see such strong praise for that body of work.

We also had a great month with the second release on our new digital label Extended Play rocketing up the Beatport tech house charts. Big thanks must go to our man in San Fran – Worthy and Darius and Nyra for their killer reworkings. It was great to see three of the four mixes sitting in Beatport’s tech house chart for weeks. EP003 coming soon and it’s a total weapon!

Another thing we’ve wanted to do for a while and proved to be an amazing experience was to record and broadcast a full-length radio show. So when the guys at ATL on BBC Radio Ulster asked us to curate their whole 2hr dance music show to support the album release we literally jumped at the chance. The first hour provided an opportunity to play music by artists that have been a major influence from the last 15 years alongside some brand new gems from people who have impressed of late. It was extremely difficult narrowing the track list down but I think we got most people in there. The second hour we went into the mix with a showcase of entirely our own Jet Project material and remixes. We will be podcasting the entire show again in the coming months.

Gigs were also amazing this month as alongside our residency in the Stiff Kitten in Belfast we also got the opportunity to play at two of our favourite clubs, La Terrrazza in Barcelona and Pressure at the Arches in Glasgow, both gigs were pretty special and it’s always great to get to hang out with our mates Silicone Soul. We recorded both sets, the Terrrazza gig is currently available to download on our podcast page –  http://jetproject.podomatic.com/ and the Pressure set will be made available in the coming weeks.
